PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power monitoring system that does not delay execution of a job in a specific image forming apparatus while suppressing total power consumption amount during standby time as low as possible, without exceeding an upper limit of the total power consumption amount in a plurality of image forming apparatuses.SOLUTION: When a power monitoring device 1 receives operation permission applications from copying machines 2 to 5 (P2), the power monitoring device 1 calculates power consumption when sequentially executing divided processes of received print jobs and determines execution order of each process so that total of power consumption amount generated during standby time becomes minimum in a range in which the total power consumption amount does not exceed an upper limit value (P4). Each process is registered in an execution list in the determined execution order (P5). Operation permission notifications are issued to the copying machines of transmission origins of the operation permission applications according to the order registered in the execution list (P6). The copying machines 2 to 5 receiving the operation permission notifications execute the notified processes (P7). |
