PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure determination method for a power storage device that can avoid a new module from being determined as a power storage module containing a defective cell after the power storage module containing the defective cell is exchanged by the new module.SOLUTION: In a failure determination method for a power storage device having the following step, a power storage module 111 having a cell 112 which is determined as having a breakdown through a failure determination of a cell 112 is exchanged by a power storage module 111 having a larger full charge capacity than a power storage module 111 which is a power storage module 111 having a normal cell 112 and is not determined as having a breakdown, thereby performing power storage module exchange.
