The opening (10) has plastic inner and outer skins (12, 14), and a pivoting unit i.e. hinge (16), materializing a pivoting axis (Y) of the opening on a motor vehicle between a closing position and an opening position. A motorized generating unit i.e. motor (17), generates a motor torque around the axis of the opening. The motor has a shaft (34) that co-operates with the hinge, in a co-axial manner. The hinge and the motor are arranged in the skin (12). The motor is installed in an upper part of the opening, above a quarter window (19). An independent claim is also included for a rear opening assembly comprising identical inner and outer skins.
