PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment capable of achieving a plurality of functions by a switch operation with an impact and the control method of the electronic equipment.SOLUTION: The electronic equipment includes: a piezoelectric element fixed to a part of an own electronic equipment main body; a detection part for detecting an electromotive voltage generated in accordance with an impact received from the outside by the piezoelectric element, and for outputting a detection signal indicating the detected electromotive voltage; and a control part for determining whether the detection signal output by the detection part is a first detection signal or a second detection signal on the basis of a difference between frequency components included in the detection signal, and for performing predetermined processing in accordance with the result of determination. |
