PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring sensor having superior heat-resistance with a simple configuration, and efficiently maintaining a cooling state even under a high temperature atmosphere.SOLUTION: A measuring sensor 10 comprises: a sensor element 1; wiring 2; a metal sheath 3; and a hygroscopic coating material 4. The hygroscopic coating material 4 comprises: materials passing through magnetism and having hygroscopicity for absorbing liquid and retaining it inside, specifically, such as porous refractory materials or glass wools having cavities. The hygroscopic coating material 4 is provided so as to cover an existence portion of at least the sealed sensor element 1 at a tip end of the metal sheath 3. The measuring sensor 10 is installed in a vicinity of a cooling spray nozzle 6, and a cooling liquid 7 from the cooling spray nozzle 6 is absorbed and retained in the hygroscopic coating material 4. The sensor element 1 is cooled by the cooling liquid 7 from the cooling spray nozzle 6 during casting, and by the latent heat of vaporization of the cooling liquid 7 retained by the hygroscopic coating material 4 when taking out the slab. |
