PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for a water heating device capable of appropriately preventing the water heating device from falling into a situation different from the intention of a user due to failure in wireless communication by avoiding the occurrence of variations in responsiveness in remote control operation of the water heating device using a wireless remote controller.SOLUTION: A communication system Sa for a water heating device comprises a relay 2 that can establish cable communication with a control unit 11 of a water heating device 1; and a wireless remote controller 4 that can establish wireless communication with the relay 2 and also can remotely operate the water heating device 1 via the relay 2, in which when the wireless remote controller 4 is absent within a predetermined close range from the relay 2, the remote control operation of the water heating device 1 using the wireless remote controller 4 is restricted regardless of the quality of the wireless communication state between the wireless remote controller 4 and the relay 2. |
