PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform recording based on recording necessity, concerning an imaging apparatus having a function of starting image recording on the basis of the detection result of sound with a specific pattern.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: acquisition means for acquiring a captured image and sound information; detection means for detecting a fact that sound information acquired by the acquisition means includes sound of a predetermined pattern requirement; and recording control means for starting information recording of at least one of a captured image, sound information, and meta data in accordance with the detection of predetermined sound by the detection means. The recording control means performs control to differ recording periods in response to the change ratio of sound volume of sound of the predetermined pattern requirement. |
