A connector comprises a housing 2 and an arm 3. The housing defines a volume for receipt of solder and has a peripheral rim 21 for facing a substrate to which the connector 1 is to be soldered. The arm has a distal portion 31, such as a spade terminal, for connection to a source of electrical power and a proximal portion 30 connecting to the housing. One or more spacers or lugs 25a, 25b, 25c are provided for maintaining a spacing between the peripheral rim 21 and the substrate. The housing may have a central aperture 24 which acts as a chimney. The connector may be used to connect to a heater in a windscreen using lead-free solder. |
