PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical heat pump and a control method thereof, which can prevent the deterioration of a material, even when used in a high temperature range.SOLUTION: A chemical heat pump 1 has a reaction portion 2 including at least either CaSOor its hydrate, an evaporation/condensation portion 3 which evaporates or condenses water, a connecting pipe 4 which connects the reaction portion 2 and the evaporation/condensation portion 3, and a connecting valve 41 which performs opening and closing of the connecting pipe 4, wherein it has a temperature sensor 5 attached to the reaction portion 2 and a temperature dropping section 6 which performs the temperature dropping of the reaction portion 2, when the temperature of the reaction portion 2 exceeds a predetermined temperature, being connected to the temperature sensor 5. Moreover, the control method of the chemical heat pump is to perform the temperature dropping of the reaction portion to the chemical heat pump 1, when the temperature sensor senses that the temperature of the reaction portion exceeds the predetermined temperature. |
