PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that in a conventional thermocouple using a stainless steel pipe, corrosion by molten aluminum is severe.SOLUTION: In order to solve the problem mentioned above, a thermocouple includes a stainless steel pipe where a MgAlOspinel layer is provided on the surface, and a thermocouple sensor accommodated in the stainless steel pipe. A method for manufacturing a thermocouple including the stainless steel pipe and the thermocouple sensor accommodated in the stainless steel pipe, includes: a preparation step of preparing the stainless steel pipe; a coating step of coating the prepared stainless steel pipe with MgAlOspinel sol; and a heating step of heating the stainless steel pipe which is coated with the MgAlOsol. |
