The textile sleeve 100 comprises a plurality of friction elements (2, fig 1A) arranged on a surface of the sleeve. The friction elements may comprise elements of a material with high static friction, preferably silicone and preferably arranged in rows along the longitudinal direction of the sleeve. The elements protrude from the surface of the textile and can be rounded or flat topped. The elements also provide stiffness in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve which ensures no rucking-up of the sleeve, while also providing friction with the object, e.g. earphone cables 23, 24, enclosed within the sleeve to prevent slip. The textile sleeve may be everted by drawing it back, inside out, over itself to expose part of the enclosed object within the sleeve and may also be returned to its original configuration. The invention further provides a method of manufacturing textile sleeves comprising friction elements. |
