PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharging system and a method of controlling the supercharging system capable of enlarging a reduced-cylinder operation region.SOLUTION: A supercharging system of an engine in which a full cylinder operation and a reduced-cylinder operation are switched, includes a turbo charger T including a turbine TB and a compressor CN, an intake-side recirculation passage 20 for recirculating a part of an intake air compressed by the compressor CN to an upstream side of the compressor CN, a flow rate adjustment valve 21 for adjusting a flow rate of the intake air flowing in the intake-side recirculation passage 20, and an ECU for increasing an opening of the flow rate adjustment valve 21 in stages or continuously in accompany with reduction of an engine rotating speed at least in executing the reduced-cylinder operation. |
