PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of scattering of toner from a toner bottle 100 that is held by a toner supply device in an attitude of directing a toner discharge port 101c toward a container lateral side, to the outside of the bottle.SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus includes a lid pulling mechanism provided with a hook 82 that pulls out a lid member 110 in contact with a bottle head part 101b of a toner bottle 100 in order to close a toner discharge port 101c from the bottle head part 101b to open the toner discharge port 101c, the lid pulling mechanism is configured to pull the lid member 110 in a direction inclined obliquely upward with respect to a virtual line extending in a horizontal direction. With this configuration, a distance between the lid member 110 and the bottle head part 101b is reduced at an upper part of the toner discharge port 101c that tends to be an air passage, so as to suppress an air from being taken into the bottle head part 101b from the outside, and thereby, the occurrence of scattering of toner from the inside of the bottle head part 101b to the outside of the container can be suppressed. |
