PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of bolts necessary during friction joining a plurality of plate-like members, by dividing the joining process into two steps.SOLUTION: A nut 1 for one-stage joining components is fabricated by integrally connecting a cylindrical part 2 having female threads engraved on one end part in an axial direction and a tool fitting part 4 having a hexagon-shaped contour of the other end part in an axial direction via a fracture part 5 with a small wall thickness. At a first step of the joining process, the plate-like member 10 is overlapped with the plate-like member 11; the nut 1 for one-stage joining components is fastened around a torque shear type high-strength bolt 6 which is inserted into corresponding bolt insertion holes 10a and 11a using a shear wrench, and the plate-like members 10 and 11 are one-stage joined by the cylindrical part 2 which is fastened by a fastening torque corresponding to the torque when the fracture part 5 is breaking. At a second step of the joining process, the plate-like member 12, on which a bolt insertion hole 12a is bored, is overlapped, the diameter of the insertion hole 12a being capable of receiving the cylindrical part 2; and all the plate-like members 10, 11, and 12 are friction joined together by finally fastening a nut 9 around the same torque shear type high-strength bolt 6. |
