An electronic device includes a casing to accommodate a display panel having front and back surfaces, a portion of the display surface being an effective display area; an antenna, disposed in back of a closed area of the effective display area, oriented to exhibit a directivity from the back of the effective display area toward the front surface, and to perform near field communication with an external terminal in a non-contact manner when the external terminal is close to the display panel; a scanner, disposed in the back of the effective display area, having a digitizer scanning film for accepting an input of a digitizer pen, to detect a position of the digitizer pen on the front surface of the display panel; and a shielding plate disposed in back of the scanner and the antenna such that the antenna is disposed between the digitizer scanning film and the shielding plate. |
