A vane compressor has: a substantially hollow cylindrical cylinder; a rotor shaft having a solid cylindrical rotor section which moves in a rotational manner within the cylinder and also having a rotating shaft section which transmits rotational force to the rotor section; and vanes disposed within the rotor section and having vane tip sections which are formed in a circular-arc shape facing outward. Out of the abovementioned elements, the cylinder is provided with an injection port for injecting a refrigerant into a compression chamber from the outside of the compressor. The circumferential width of the opening of the injection port is set to be less than or equal to the circumferential width of the vanes. |
