摘要 A method of manufacturing a heat exchanger 10 comprises the steps of forming a first portion (figure 2, 20) and a second portion (22) of a body 12 by injection moulding and joining the first and second portions together thereby providing an internal cavity 14. At least one formation 40 is located in the cavity and defines at least one flow path for a fluid between a fluid inlet (16) and fluid outlet 18. The at least one formation comprises a first surface 46 exposed to the fluid and a second surface 48 exposed to air surrounding the heat exchanger. The internal cavity is further provided with at least one flow controlling structure (baffle) 56. The first and second portions may be joined by sandwiching a wire mesh heating element between joining surfaces of the portions and passing an electric current through the wire mesh to melt the portions together, or by ultrasonic, friction or hotplate welding or by a fluid adhesive or adhesive gasket.
