[Class 38 (i)] A multiple connection coupling comprises contacts 5 bonded to a plug 3 of rubber designed to co-operate with similar contacts 9 attached to the mterior of a socket 7 of rubber stiffened by a metal ring 13. The members 3, 7 are mounted by their flanges 4, 11 in housings 18, 14 of rubber &c. bonded to the sheathing 15 of a cable which is also anchored by a disc member 16 having a central projection round which the conductors are' coiled and lashed. The housing 18 has an annular groove 21 to co-operate with the ring 13 to hold the plug and socket members in engagement. In modifications a double ended socket may co-operate with two plug members, or the conductors of one cable may be spaced around a socket and attached to its inner wall and the conductors of another cable bent back and attached to the outside of the sheathing to form a plug.
