PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction in durability of a vacuum pump, by restraining damage of a rotor and a side plate, with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A vacuum pump includes a casing body 22 installed in an electric motor 10, a hollow-shaped cylinder chamber S formed in this casing body 22 and having an opening on both ends of the casing body 22, a rotor 27 on an output shaft 12 of the electric motor 10 and rotatingly driven in the cylinder chamber S together with the output shaft 12, and a pair of side plates 25 and 26 for blocking up the openings of the cylinder chamber S. The output shaft 12 has a hole part 12B arranged in the axial direction in a tip part 12A, and has a tapered pin 70 pressed in the hole part 12B in a state of inserting the output shaft 12 into a shaft hole 27A of the rotor 27 and fixing the rotor 27 to the output shaft 12. |
