A printed film for containers of this invention includes a transparent film ink-jet images formed thereon by an ink-jet printing and other-printing images formed by a printing system other than the ink-jet printing, the ink-jet images being formed between a top coating and an underlying layer, and the other-printing images being formed between the underlying layer and an adhesive layer enabling variable images to be ink-jet printed thereon in combination making it, therefore, possible to cope with the designs for many kinds of products in small lots that could not be done by only the printing system such as gravure printing other than the ink-jet printing, the printed images excellently reproducing image densities that could not be attained by the ink-jet printing only. The invention, further, provides a method of producing a printed film maintaining good productivity. |
