摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor optical element which can reduce dark current of a photodiode and capacitive coupling between interconnections of the photodiode.SOLUTION: A semiconductor optical element comprises a substrate 13, a first conductivity type semiconductor layer 15 on a third area 13d and on a fourth area 13e, a first semiconductor laminate 17 for a photodiode on the third area 13d, a resin body 23 on the second area 13c, on the third area 13d and on the fourth area 13e, a first electrode 25 connected on the first semiconductor laminate 17 via a first opening of the resin body 23 in the third area 13d, a first pad electrode 29 on the first area 13b, and a first wiring conductor 27 for connecting the first electrode 25 with the first pad electrode 29. The first wiring conductor 27 extends on a top face and a first lateral face of the resin body 23 on the second area 13c and on the third area 13d and extends on the first area 13b to reach the first pad electrode 29, in which the first lateral face of the resin body 23 is located in the second area 13c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
