The invention is related to prong shafts (2) for an acetabular reamer (1) with many cutting blades (1.1), the reamer used for removing deformed bone parts of an acetabular cavity in hip replacement surgery, removing such deformed bone parts by rotational motion. The prong shafts are installed within the inner section of the equatorial area of the hemispherical reamer (1), the prong shafts comprising a cutting blade (2.2.) at the end of each prong shaft handle (2.1), such that the cutting blades (2.2) remain outside the hemispherical reamer (1) in its equatorial area when said prong shafts (2) are connected to the hemispherical reamer (1). |
