Condensed Heterocyclic Compounds, Their Production and Use Novel compound represented by the formula: (I) wherein R' stands for an aliphatic hydrocarbon group substituted with a hydrophilic group; R0 stands for a lower alkyl group; R1 and R2 independently stand for a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted lower hydrocarbon group; X1 and X2 independently stand for -O-, -S(O)?-(K denotes a whole number of 0 to 2), (R3 stands for a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted lower hydrocarbon group) or an optionally substituted methylene group: i denotes a whole number of 1 to 3; and R1 and R2 may be different from each other at the repetition of the number i, or a salt thereof which has a topoisomerase I inhibition activity and is useful as an antitumor agents.
