[Problem] To provide: a deflector which is capable of being mounted without too much increase in the size of an inflator; and an airbag device which has the deflector mounted to the inflator. [Solution] A deflector (134) is provided with an inflator holding section (148) which extends in the longitudinal direction of an inflator (106) and which has a first circular arc cross-section (164) extending along a part of the outer periphery of the inflator (106); and two cover sections (150a, 150b) for injection holes, the two cover sections (150a, 150b) being provided at positions corresponding to the gas injection holes (138) of the inflator (106) so as to respectively continue from the opposite ends of the inflator holding section (148) in the width direction, the two cover sections (150a, 150b) being in close contact with the vicinities of the gas injection holes (138) of the inflator (106) and being respectively separated from the gas injection holes (138) by gas pressure when the inflator (106) is activated. The deflector (134) is characterized in that, before the inflator (106) is mounted, the respective inner surfaces of the cover sections (150a, 150b) for injection holes are located on the inside of a circle drawn by the path of the inner surface of the inflator holding section (148). |
