PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy of fluorescence light emitted from paper sheets.SOLUTION: An identification device for paper sheets of the present invention includes: an optical sensor part; and an identification part. The optical sensor part includes: a conveyance path; a light source part; a spectrometer that causes fluorescence light along a first direction vertical to a conveyance direction to be dispersed along a second direction vertical to the first direction; a light receiving part having a plurality of light receiving elements arranged in matrix along the first direction and the second direction; and a signal processing part that outputs a fluorescence light spectral image signal corresponding to spectral light of the fluorescence light. The identification part performs identification of the paper sheets on the basis of the fluorescence light spectral image signal output from the optical sensor part. |
