PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input device that enables a user to perform a comfortable character input operation.SOLUTION: There is provided a character input device including a determination section which determines which of the five fingers a finger of a user which comes into contact with an operation surface, a detection section which detects a sliding direction of the finger of the user in contact with the operation surface, and a determination section which determines a KANA character to be input by determining a vowel according to the finger determined by the determination section and determining a consonant based upon the sliding direction determined by the detection section. |
