摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material made of an olivine type lithium transition metal oxide and having a high discharge capacity.SOLUTION: This olivine type lithium transition metal oxide has a composition expressed by Li(FeM1)M2PO(wherein, x, y, z satisfy 0.9<x<1.3, 0&le;y&le;1, and 0&le;z<0.3; M1 denotes at least one kind of metal element selected from a group consisting of Mn, Co and Ni; and M2 denotes at least one kind of metal element selected from a group consisting of Mo, Mg, Zr, Ti, Al, Ce and Cr.), and comprises secondary particles whose average secondary particle size is &ge;2 to &le;15 &mu;m, and whose apparent density of powder is &ge;0.5 to &le;1.7 g/cm, and primary particles constituting the secondary particles have a crystallite diameter of &le;80 nm.
