PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition suitable for a single bath treatment, with which a tire cord excellent in bond fatigue properties and heat-resistant bonding in rubber, and to provide the tire cord using the same.SOLUTION: The adhesive composition has a vinylpyridine-styrene-butadiene copolymer latex and a thermosetting resin containing a blocked isocyanate compound, wherein the vinylpyridine-styrene-butadiene copolymer latex is obtained by: initiating polymerization with a mixed solution containing vinylpyridine, styrene and butadiene in a proportion of 5-15 mass%, 35-80 mass%, and 5-60 mass%, respectively; changing each component to 5-20 mass%, 10-40 mass%, and 45-75 mass% in 3 stages or more or continuously, and ending the polymerization. The thermosetting resin containing the blocked isocyanate compound is contained in an amount of 35-100 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the solid content of the vinylpyridine-styrene-butadiene copolymer latex. |
