PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine motor which can effectively cool the motor and generates an air flow so that components within a sewing machine case are prevented from receiving an adverse effect by heat, such as deformation, and to provide a sewing machine including the sewing machine motor.SOLUTION: A sewing machine motor 1 of the present invention includes: a rotating output shaft 11; and a trunk part 13 rotatably holding the output shaft 11 at a shaft core part. The sewing machine motor 1 includes a fan 4 attached to the output shaft 11 so as to be concentric with the output shaft 11. The fan 4 includes a first blade group 41a and a second blade group 41b on the outer peripheral side and the inner peripheral side thereof, respectively, whose respective blades have angles of attack opposite to each other. |
