摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal nanocluster support carbon porous body which is high in catalyst performance, and to provide its manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A metal nanocluster support carbon porous body is characterized by having a carbon porous body, and a metal nanocluster which is supported to the carbon porous body and whose average particle diameter is not larger than 2 nm. It is preferable that the metal nanocluster is composed of two or more metal alloys. Furthermore, it is preferable than the metal nanocluster is Au, AG, Pt, or an alloy of them. A manufacturing method of the metal nanocluster support carbon porous body is characterized in that a voltage is intermittently applied between a pair of electrodes at least one of which is composed of a metal catalyst, and glow discharge is generated in liquid.
