PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cowl louver capable of heightening performance of protection for a pedestrian even if a bridging bracket is mounted to regulate both base ends of a cowl upper provided with an air intake port from approaching each other.SOLUTION: A bridging bracket 50 is mounted to a cowl upper of a cowl louver 1 to regulate both base ends 30, 40 in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle from approaching each other. This mounting includes: an engagement structure of engaging an engagement claw 54 formed on one side of the bridging bracket 50 with an engagement hole 34 formed on one side base end 30 of the cowl upper; and an insertion structure of inserting an insertion piece 56 formed on the other side of the bridging bracket 50 in an insertion hole 44 formed on the other side base end 40 of the cowl upper. The inserting direction and the pull-out direction of the insertion piece 56 are set to substantially coincide with the direction of separating both base ends 30, 40 of the cowl upper from each other when external load is applied to the cowl upper from above the vehicle. |
