The suspension structure (13) has a first support arm (14) which is provided for the fixation of a cable (41) for the fan motor (3) having a hook and a groove. The first support arm is provided with a first portion for fastening to the fan motor for receiving the housing (4) of the radial flow compressor (2) and provided with a second portion for supporting the fan motor. The first portion of the first support arm is adapted for a surface mounting of the housing and the second portion for a surface mounting of the fan motor. An independent claim is included for vapor fume hood.
