PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch that can be easily assembled to various devices of which inverse inputting can be shut off.SOLUTION: Recesses 2a having cam surfaces 2b forming wedge spaces between an outer periphery of an inner ring 2 and a cylindrical inner surface 1a of an outer ring 1 are formed and then cylindrical rollers 3 are assembled in the recesses 2a. A cage 4 is provided with pockets 4a for holding the cylindrical rollers 3, one end part of the pocket 4a is formed with a resilient piece 4b folded to bias the cylindrical roller 3 toward a narrow part of the wedge space. An input ring is provided with pressing pieces 5a, the pressing pieces 5a are inserted into the narrow part of each of the wedge spaces and when the input ring is rotated, the pressing pieces 5a push the cylindrical rollers 3 or the bulged portions 2c formed between the adjoining recesses 2a to cause the inner ring 2 to be rotated in a normal direction or inverse direction. In regard to the inverse inputting from the inner ring 2, the cylindrical rollers 3 are engaged into narrow portions in the wedge spaces to lock the inner ring 2 so as to shut off the inverse input from the inner ring 2 to the input ring. |
