PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor provided with both a visible image sensor for detecting visible light and an infrared image sensor for detecting infrared light.SOLUTION: An infrared image sensor 2 is arranged on a visible image sensor chip 1, and a visible image sensor 5 is arranged at a place where the infrared image sensor 2 is not arranged. Specifically, the infrared image sensor 2 is arranged on the rear surface side of a glass substrate 3 and is then joined to the visible image sensor chip 1 on which the visible image sensor 5 is formed. Therefore, the image sensor can be provided with both the visible image sensor 5 for detecting visible light and the infrared image sensor 2 for detecting infrared light and is thus capable of detecting optical signals in both a wavelength band of 1 μm or less, i.e., a visible light region, and a wavelength band of 1 μm or more, i.e., an infrared light region. |
