PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial antimicrobial composition capable of performing protection to a water-based composition including a reducing agent such as polymer emulsion from putrefaction caused by microorganisms such as bacillus and funguses by a small amount of addition over a long period.SOLUTION: An industrial antimicrobial composition includes, as essential ingredients: a zinc pyrithione complex compound represented by general formula (I); and an isothiazolone compound represented by general formula (II). General formula (I): xZnO ZnPy(wherein, x denotes a positive number satisfying 0<x≤1; and Py denotes a 2-pyridylthio-N-oxide group). In general formula (II), R denotes a 2 to 8C alkyl group; and X and Y denote hydrogen or halogen or may be coupled with each other to form an aromatic ring. |
