One embodiment provides a method, involving: identifying, using a processor, a characteristic of a network connection; identifying, using the processor, two or more bandwidth demands associated with the network connection; determining, based on the characteristic, that the two or more bandwidth demands require a bandwidth prioritization; and prioritizing, based on the determining, at least one of the two or more bandwidth demands.
