The method involves providing a fire stopping element joint (50) between a masonry (22) and a frame rail (30), with a hollow space (38) subjected to change during normal operation. The frame rail is provided to form an insulation material in case of fire for heat insulation and for avoiding a passage of heat gases at a region of the joint only with an intumescent material (60). The intumescent material is foamed in case of fire for sealing the opened fire stopping element joint. The frame rail is attached to the masonry by a screw-anchor fastener (12). An independent claim is also included for a fireproof door or a fireproof fixed glazing for a building to form a fire stopping element. |
