PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a food product mechanically in a horizontal direction without deteriorating the appearance of the food product, and to add an additive effectively between the cut food products.SOLUTION: The device for cutting the food product includes an upper stage chuck 3 holding an upper part of the food product, a lower stage chuck 4 holding a lower part of the food product, a cutting part 6 cutting the food product, an adding part 7 adding an additive material in the food product, and a fitting part 8 fitting cut surfaces of the food product. The cutting part 6 cuts the food product into the upper part and lower part while the food product is held by the upper stage chuck 3 and the lower stage chuck 4. The adding part 7 adds an additive material to the cut surface of the lower part of the food product while the food product is held by the lower stage chuck 4. The fitting part 8 fits a cut surface of the upper part of the food product held by the upper stage chuck 3 and a cut surface of the lower part of the food product held by the lower stage chuck 4. |
