PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate temporal changes in a focal length of exiting light from a light deflector having a lens effect.SOLUTION: A light deflecting device includes: a light deflector which has at least two electrodes formed on opposing surfaces of an electro-optic crystal and which is configured in such a manner that, when a voltage is applied to at least the two electrodes, an inhomogeneous distribution of a refractive index is induced in the electro-optic crystal by an electro-optic effect to bend a propagation course of light perpendicular to an electric field formed by the voltage; and a focus variable lens which is disposed on an exiting side of the light from the light deflector and compensates fluctuations of a focal length caused by a lens effect of the light deflector. |
