PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent frequency selective fading due to SFN interference.SOLUTION: A transmitter 1 includes: a carrier modulation unit 11 for generating first and second carrier modulation signals; a space-time encoding unit 12 for space-time encoding the first carrier modulation signal to generate the first and second space-time encoding signals and for space-time encoding the second carrier modulation signal to generate the third and fourth space-time encoding signals; a pilot signal generation unit 131 for generating a pilot signal; a control signal generation unit 132 for generating a control signal; an OFDM symbol configuration unit 133 for inserting the pilot signal and control signal into the space-time encoding signal to configure an OFDM symbol; and an OFDM signal generation unit 134 for performing an inverse Fourier-transform and orthogonal modulation for each carrier of the OFDM symbol to generate the OFDM signal, transmitting the OFDM signal of the first and third space-time encoding signals to a first transmission station, and transmitting the OFDM signal of the second and fourth space-time encoding signals to a second transmission station. |
