PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device that can make poor print resulting from color banding or mask pattern inconspicuous.SOLUTION: Poor print such as boundary banding, beading, and poor blurring, in addition to bidirectional banding resulting from difference of the order of color piling in an outward trip and a return trip can be inhibited by performing illustrating operation by applying a nonuniform print mask function which lowers a use probability of nozzles corresponding to a peripheral area of an end of color swath compared with other nozzles and making the width of the nonuniform area mostly coincide with a paper conveyance amount. In doing so, color unevenness, stripes, or the like, called fine mask patterns can be inhibited by suitably combining small basic mask patterns, and extending the periodicity of main scanning and sub-scanning direction. Thereby, attainment of stabilized high printing image quality can be expected even if using a mask pattern stored in a small memory capacity. |
