PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motor drive control device capable of protecting an inverter circuit from rise in bus voltage due to a regeneration voltage generated by counter flows of cooling medium, caused by failures in a compressor valve mechanism or the like.SOLUTION: A motor drive control device comprises: an inverter circuit 4 for applying an AC voltage to a motor 7 that converts a DC voltage into an AC voltage and drives a compressor; a brake control device 5 for controlling the inverter circuit 4 to control an operation of the motor 7; a bus voltage detection circuit 6 for detecting a bus voltage inputted to the inverter circuit 4; and a relay 8 arranged between the inverter circuit 4 and the bus voltage detection circuit 6, and for switching between supply and stop of the DC voltage to the inverter circuit 4. In the case that the bus voltage becomes larger than a predetermined value due to a regeneration voltage of the motor 7 caused by a counter flow of cooling medium of the compressor, the brake control device 5 switches the relay 8 to disconnect between the inverter circuit 4 and the bus voltage detection circuit 6 and to suppress rise in the bus voltage. |
