PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "an operation input device and an operation input method" capable of achieving highly usable input operation pertaining to rotation of the wrist.SOLUTION: When movement of a user's wrist falls under the movement for rotating the right wrist to the left or an inverse-rotation movement for rotating the left wrist to the right, the operation input device sets an operation amount of a rotary operator by multiplying the rotation amount of the wrist by a constant coefficient N. Even when it is the inverse-direction movement hard to rotate the wrist due to the relationship between the wrist and elbow joint mechanisms, the operation input device can set a maximum operation amount per rotation when the inverse rotation is performed equivalent to the maximum operation amount per rotation when the normal operation is performed. Consequently, the maximum operation amount per rotation is not changed between the operation rotating the wrist rightward and the operation of rotating the wrist leftward. |
