An image displaying apparatus (100) comprising an illumination optical system (1-3) , an image displaying element (7) configured to be illuminated by the illumination optical system (1-3), a projection optical system (8) configured to project light from the image displaying element (7) onto a screen (20), and a dust-proof member (9) provided between the screen (20) and the projection optical system (8), wherein the projection optical system (8) includes a projection lens (10)composed of plural lenses and a mirror (12) configured to reflect reflection light emitted through the projection lens (10) toward the screen (20), and wherein the dust-proof member (9) is configured to mitigate an irregularity in an illuminance distribution of reflection light to be projected onto the screen (20). |
