When the temperature T of the battery is higher than a predetermined temperature Tth, an electronic control unit controls the engine and the generator motor so that the engine is operated on an optimum fuel consumption line and the charge and discharge electric power Pb of the battery is in a predetermined range of allowable power, and when the temperature T of the battery is lower than the predetermined temperature Tth, the electronic control unit controls the engine and the generator motor so that the charge and discharge voltage Vb of the battery is in a predetermined range of allowable voltage.
