PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for perforating a sheet material for a thread, capable of allowing a thread to penetrate through the sheet material to prevent the thread from coming off, and a method for adding a mark thread in a cutting machine.SOLUTION: A device 10 for perforating a sheet material for a thread, includes: a thread feeding mechanism 11 capable of feeding a thread 9 provided in a cutting head 3 of a cutting machine 1; a holding mechanism 12 capable of holding a tip end of the thread 9 fed from the thread feeding mechanism 11; a thread penetration needle 13 piercing a sheet material 7 from above to vertically penetrate the thread 9 fed from the thread feeding mechanism 11 through the sheet material 7; and a coming-off preventing mechanism 14 forming a knot as a coming-off preventing part 14a in the thread 9 above the sheet material 7 after the thread 9 is penetrated through the sheet material 7 by the thread penetration needle 13. In a thread 9a for a mark, a coming-off preventing part 14a is formed above the sheet material 7, so that, while the sheet material 7 is sucked and held from below, the thread can be prevented from coming off. |
