PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backup data storage and a data backup system capable of highly efficiently and reliably eliminating overlapping photographing data in consideration of the fact that restoration is to be performed again after backup when backing up photographing data generated on the basis of the same standard.SOLUTION: The backup data storage includes: an extraction section 3b for extracting data identification information for identifying photographing data; a data identification information storage section 3d for storing the data identification information; a retrieval section 3e for retrieving backup data to be a comparison base for determining whether or not it is data overlapping with previously preserved backup data; an overlap elimination processing section 3g for comparing the backup data to be the comparison base with new backup data to be a comparison object, and eliminating a part overlapping with the backup data to be the comparison base; a storage section 3i for preserving the new backup data after overlap elimination; and a data form information storage section 3j for storing a data form of the new backup data. |
