PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric fan increasing a blowing range, while securing energy saving performance by reducing power consumption, in the electric fan used for reducing a sensible temperature by direct wind and for circulating air in a room.SOLUTION: An impeller guard 3 is constituted by joining a front guard 4, a side guard 5, and a back guard 6. Air flows in from the back guard 6 and the side guard 5, and flows out from the front guard 4. The side guard 5 is provided with annular shielding parts 8 having openings. Facing portions of the shielding parts 8 have a smaller opening ratio than the other parts. Accordingly, a swirling flow around a rotary shaft collapses, and an air current is thrown out to a position away from the rotary shaft. |
