[Class 30] A safety-razor comprises a guard 2 hinged at one end to a plate 1 and retained by a spring latch 7, the guard having a handle member 9 spaced above the centre line of the guard to form finger room, the handle having a free end adjacent the thumb which applies pressure to the guard when shaving. The plate 1 has two projections 6 engaging apertures in the blade 4 and guard 2.
