The invention provides a heavy load pneumatic tire with excellent durability and low rolling resistance. A tire (2) comprises a belt layer (18) stacked on a tire body (12) and covering adhesive (20). The belt layer (18) comprises a first cord fabric (38a) on the radial outer side of the tire body (12), a second cord fabric (38b) on the radial outer side of the first cord fabric (38a), and a third cord fabric (38c) on the radial outer side of the second cord fabric (38b). The covering adhesive (20) covers the end portion (42) of the second cord fabric (38b) and the end portion (40) of the third cord fabric (38c). The radial thickness (Y) of the covering adhesive (20) between the end portion (42) and the end portion (40) is more than 4.0 mm but less than 5.0 mm. rubberizing complex modulus (E*t) forming the cord fabrics is more than 4.0 MPa but less than 7.0 MPa. The complex modulus (E*c) of the covering adhesive is more than 8.0 MPa but less than 12.0 MPa. |
